Winter Dresses - Styles to Keep You Warm & Cozy

Wanting to figure out how to update your wardrobe for the winter season?

Here are eight easy tips to help you get styled up:

1. Rich colours.
Bright and warm colours, especially scarlet red, royal purple or emerald green are the shades to choose. Wear them with confidence in a knee length 50's style prom gown or team a bright skirt with a darker corset top.

2. Chunky knits.
Large knitted tops, jackets or dresses are the chicest thing ot wear this season, but only in muted earthy colours. A beige or cream knitted boyfriend sweater with ribbed tights and high heels is a great look for a relaxed winter party.

3. Accessorize.
Hats are the best accessory this season, which teamed with big rings and long necklaces should look awesome and completely on-trend. Chunky jewellery is the best thing to mix with a slim dress. Big rings look really great with any sort of outfit, and can make a boring jeans and t-shirt combo look phenomenal.

4. Military rebel.
Black, biker, heavy and army style clothes are one of the easiest looks to wear this winter. Wearing a black dress is the optimum choice for a chic ball or New Year's party. Black dresses look great in any length, but this season choose one above knee length.

5. Monochrome.
This is a fairly long standing trend, and will last you many seasons more. Mixing black and white in a dress or an outfit is a great style statement. This autumn-winter put black wide-leg trousers with a cute white blouse for an office look, or wear a black/white polka dot dress out to lunch with your friends.

6. Check and Tartan.
This trend is only for those real fashionistas, those who are really brave with fashion. Tartan looks great as an accessory, and as a mini dress, but wearing it head to toe should be reserved for Vivienne Westwood.

7. Sequin.
All the high street shops are currently selling are sequined dresses, especially in stripes. It is recommended that you try to find a very unique dress in this style however, as it can look very cheap.

8. Patent heels.
These are the chicest shoes to wear with any winter outfit.
